Amon Carter Stadium, located at Texas Christian University, P.O. Box 297600, Fort Worth, TX 76129, was built in 1929 and is the home of the Texas Christian University (TCU) Horned Frogs football team out of Conference USA. The field used is a natural grass playing surface and the stadium can hold 46,000 people. Amon Carter Stadium sits 12 stories tall at its highest point and is home to some of the best fans in college athletics. Texas Christian University is a religious oriented school with a yearly enrollment in the 8,500 range so the students aren’t quite as rowdy or reckless as some others around the nation, but they do go out often to cheer on their team and TCU has won 52 games in the last six seasons, so the fans know that their team can really play some ball.
