The Orange Bowl, located at 1501 NW Third Street, Miami, FL 33125, was built in 1935 and is the home of the Miami Hurricanes of the ACC. The Orange Bowl also hosted the Miami Dolphins from 1966-1986. The Orange Bowl can hold more than 74,000 people and has had a grass playing surface since 1977. The name of the stadium was changed to the Orange Bowl in 1959 and the original seating capacity was around 22,000. The capacity of the stadium was actually over 80,000 people at one point before seats were removed to get to the present-day total. The Orange Bowl has hosted other big sporting events like Super Bowls in the NFL and Olympic soccer in recent years.
